Format

Why staircase posts work

LinkedIn's feed moves fast. Most posts get skipped in under two seconds. The staircase format creates an involuntary reading pattern — each line is just one word longer, which forces the eye to keep moving down the page.

This structure works because it uses visual rhythm instead of relying on clever writing alone. The expanding lines build a sense of momentum. By the time the reader reaches the final line, they have read your whole message without realizing they committed to it.

Use it for your hook, your closing statement, or a single lesson you want to drive home. Pair it with a normal paragraph below and the contrast makes both sections stronger.

How to use

4

Copy and paste into LinkedIn

Copy the full post and paste it directly into your LinkedIn editor.
